How we help/Pre-launch product test · Home Use Test (HUT)

Will they buy it again? Find out at home, before you launch.

A tasting shows the first bite. Real life shows whether they buy it again. After a week in real homes, you know whether liking holds, what to fix, and what it is worth.

When you need it

Three decisions a week at home settles.

Launch

Go or no-go, with evidence

Liking, buying intent and price, from the homes it has to win.

Recipe

A vs B, after the novelty

Pick the one people come back to.

Change

Did anyone notice?

A reformulation or cost change, checked before the market does.

A week, not four seconds.

The second purchase is decided over days. That is what we measure.

Before you ask

What teams ask about a home use test.

How many consumers do I need for this to hold up internally?

Enough to hold up in front of your steering group. We size the sample to your decision and tell you the number before you commit.

A week sounds slow. My stage gate is in three weeks.

Brief to report is about ten days. Give us the meeting date and we design backwards from it.

Why not just run a central location test? It is cheaper.

Sometimes that is the right call, and we run those too. But a booth measures a first impression. If the decision is about the second purchase, measure the second purchase.

What does it cost?

Driven by sample size, number of products and shipping. Fixed scope, in plain words, within 24 hours of the first call.

Who actually runs it?

Dr. Johan Swahn designs the study, runs it, and presents the results himself. There is no account manager in between and no junior handover. The person on your first call is the person on your last one.
